Michael is an Iowa native who joined the lab in 1997. He is our Lab Manager and has co-authored more than 15 manuscripts. He is using tibial compression to stimulate bone formation in osteoporotic mice.

Akhilesh is a native of India who joined the lab in 2008. He did his Ph.D. with John Criscione on “Mechanical Characterization and Structural Analysis of Normal and Remodeled Cardiovascular Soft Tissue”. He is examining skeletal responses to different types of mechanical loading, focusing on vibrational loading.
